Editorial policy

Credibility is our most important asset. This page explains how The Coastline Post produces its stories and the commitment we make to the people who read them.

Accuracy first

We do not invent figures, dates, quotes or rules. When a fact is likely to change, such as a price, a deadline or an official position, we say so and point to the primary source so you can check it yourself.

Human review

We use tools to speed up research and first drafts, but every story is reviewed by an editor before publication. The editor checks clarity, accuracy and whether the piece is worth your time. If it is not, it does not run.

Independence

Sponsored content and affiliate links are always labelled as such. Commercial partnerships never buy coverage: editorial judgement is independent of whoever advertises.

Corrections

When we are wrong, we correct the record. If you find an error, write to us through the contact page. Material corrections are noted in the story itself, with the date of the review.
